Bayhealth is pleased to welcome Hasitha Vemula, MD, to the Bayhealth Endocrinology, Blue Hen practice in Dover. She joins Endocrinologists Hira Shakeel, MD, and Hajira Amir, MD. Fellowship-trained in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, Dr. Vemula treats various hormone-related conditions and endocrine system disorders. She is currently accepting new patients.

Dr. Vemula recently completed a fellowship in the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She did her residency in internal medicine at Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD, where she completed a rotation in solid tumor oncology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She holds a medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh in India.
