Things to Do This Weekend at Delaware & Maryland Beaches

October 10, 2024

One of the busiest festival weekends of the year is upon us over the next few days at and near the Delaware and Maryland beaches. To say there's no shortage of fun things to see and do this weekend is definitely an understatement, as you'll see in this week's edition of the Oldfather Group's Weekender Blog.

The weekend is headlined by one of the top festivals in Delaware over in tiny Bridgeville, as well as a host of events near the beach and many others throughout the First State, as well as the cities of Annapolis, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia.

We've got so much to talk about that we're going to get right to it. Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Apple Scrapple Festival (October 11-12)

One of the biggest festivals of the fall happens this weekend in the western Sussex County town of Bridgeville. Now a two-day event, Apple Scrapple 2024 takes place from 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.

This year's 32nd Annual Apple Scrapple Festival features several great events and activities, including a Southern Delaware Street Rod Association car show, live entertainment, a hometown carnival, the always popular Scrapple Sling, a ladies' skillet toss, a children's apple toss, and a whole lot more.

Apple Scrapple has become nationally known over the years and is now one of the main events of southern Delaware's fall festival season.
