Beebe’s mobile clinic delivers excellent care to the community
As Beebe Healthcare’s director of community outreach, I am proud to be a part of the system’s newly launched Mobile Health Clinic. This is yet another way Beebe is connecting with our community to provide care and bring resources to those who need it most – right in their neighborhoods and places they visit.
In this launch phase for the clinic, the importance of how Beebe can literally meet people where they are, offering them services and support, has been highlighted with each scheduled location.
Erin Fox, executive director of Addiction Medical Solutions in Rehoboth, recently said, “AMS of Delaware is proud to work in tandem with Beebe Healthcare’s Mobile Health Clinic. This unique community service breaks down barriers and collaboratively works to meet the behavioral health needs of individuals in Sussex County. I have greatly appreciated Beebe’s willingness to come out to our program and to, quite literally, meet our patients right where they are. In doing so, Beebe is eliminating hurdles that so many of our patients have when addressing their own health needs. Kim Blanch and her team provide compassionate, excellent care without judgment. This is leaving a lasting impression with those who would have otherwise avoided care they so desperately need and deserve. AMS is grateful for this mobile unit and its services.”
With a behavioral health focus and preventive care approach, Beebe’s Mobile Health Clinic team has been able to quickly establish trusted rapport with the individuals who visit the clinic. Many of those we’ve been able to serve have expressed interest in something as simple as a blood pressure check, but most visits evolve into a conversation that reveals other needs – behavioral, medical and/or social.
Because the goal of each visit is to leverage the capabilities of Beebe Healthcare to do all we can for each patient we see, we strive to optimize every visit to connect patients to as many needed resources as possible. Again, I am proud to be a part of this innovative healthcare delivery system to our community, and I am grateful for each and every location that welcomes the Mobile Health Clinic and its services.
