Beebe celebrates Rita Rickards’ 50 years of helping patients

Beebe Healthcare recently held a surprise celebration for longtime team member Rita Rickards, who celebrates 50 years of working in the healthcare system this month.

A unit secretary specialist, Rickards started with food services in 1974 and has moved up within the organization throughout her many years of dedication.

Sen. Brian Pettyjohn, R-Georgetown, was on hand to present Rickards with a proclamation from the Delaware General Assembly.

More than 100 team members lined the main hallway for the surprise. Joining Rickards were her husband and family members including a great-grandchild.

Rickards said she was overwhelmed with the surprise and grateful for all the of the support. She said she isn’t retiring yet and will continue working with her Beebe family.
