Cape athletes sign letters of intent

Vikings to pursue respective sports at collegiate level

Cape athletes signed national letters of intent to play college sports during a ceremony Nov. 13 at Cape Henlopen High School.

Eleven student athletes penned their promise to compete for their respective universities.

Jase Mitchell signed to play baseball at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Jake Hutchison signed to play lacrosse at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. Ronan Presler inked his promise for lacrosse at Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio. Lina Frederick signed to play lacrosse at Salisbury University. Quinn Nutter signed to play lacrosse at the University of Tampa in Florida. Abigail Schaeffer signed to play goalie for the Stockton College lacrosse team in Galloway Township, N.J. Macy Steinwedel inked her intent to play lacrosse at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va. Ava Calciano signed to play softball at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn. Alivia Heers signed to play softball at St. Joseph University in Philadelphia. Brianna Windish inked her promise for softball at East Stroudsburg in Monroe County, Pa. Patrick Donahue signed to wrestle at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va.
