Even the COVID-19 state of emergency couldn’t deter the residents of Chapel Green who wanted to celebrate Memorial Day. Decorating their vehicles in red, white and blue, residents drove around the community on Memorial Day in tribute to fallen heroes, but also to stop by the home of each Class of 2020 graduate in the neighborhood to place a sign recognizing each student. Accompanied by a Lewes Fire Department pumper truck, the parade slowly went up and down every street in the community as many residents sat outside waving flags and cheering them on.
