Clear Space Theatre announces 2025 season lineup
At its recent Barefoot and Bowtie Gala, Clear Space Theatre Company announced the curtain will open on its 2025 season with a fresh adaptation of the classic thriller, “Dial M for Murder,” Friday, Jan. 25, at 20 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Subscription ticket sales are open for all 13 main-stage productions.
Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher from the original by Frederick Knott, this heart-pounding thriller cuts to the core of the play’s layers of deception and betrayal. Blackmail, a secret affair, a visit from a murder mystery writer, and a perfectly planned murder unravel faster than Margot’s dial tone can go dead while she’s alone in her London flat one fateful night.
The season’s productions will continue with exuberant coming-of-age musicals, “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie,” “Spring Awakening” and “Reefer Madness,” alongside iconic classics like “Oklahoma!” and “A Christmas Carol,” the wild humor of “Buyer & Cellar” and “POTUS,” and youth productions of “Beetlejuice Jr.” and “Annie.” Summer repertory shows will be “Hairspray,” “Beautiful” and “Rent.”
As part of the Clear Space Gives Back initiative, 50% of ticket sales from “Everybody’s Talking About Jamie” will go to support CAMP Rehoboth, this year’s Sussex County nonprofit beneficiary.
Season subscription are now on sale, with 10 play packages offered at price points for adults, seniors and students. Subscriptions offer priority access to seating in addition to significant savings and other exclusive benefits. The gala celebrated Clear Space Theatre’s past achievements, honored those who have helped it reach its present success, and raised a record-breaking $65,000 to ensure its thriving future.
