DSWA scholarship goes to Cape grad Faith Thompson
The Delaware Solid Waste Authority announced Faith Thompson of Millsboro, a recent graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, has been awarded the Theodore “Toby” Ryan Memorial Scholarship.
Named to the honor roll all four years of high school, Thompson consistently demonstrated academic excellence. Thompson’s dedication to her future career in civil engineering is supported by her internship with Pilottown Engineering, where she gained hands-on experience by visiting job sites, designing a dugout and participating in engineering competitions. Her passion for environmental advocacy was evident through her four-year participation in the Green Club, where she took part in cleanups, recycling initiatives and climate change advocacy.
Thompson will be attending Johns Hopkins University, where she plans to major in civil engineering.
