A ghost bike commemorates the death of Lewes cyclist Lloyd “Jay” Kirby Jr., 79, who died Sept. 23 from injuries he suffered in a crash Sept. 11 on Route 1, near the Kings Highway intersection. Real bikes painted white, ghost bikes are memorials for cyclists killed or hit on the street.
