Frantic Music Project will host a fundraiser to benefit local music Junior Wilson Sunday, Nov. 10, at Nassau Valley Vineyards, 32165 Winery Lane, Lewes.
More than 350 supporters are expected to attend Jammin’ for Junior, a ticketed event with live music by local powerhouse bands, Lower Case Blues, Earth Jam and The Funsters. Presenting sponsor is i.g. Burton Auto Group.
In January, Wilson fell in his home and sustained severe head trauma requiring surgery. He was hospitalized for several months, followed by months of ongoing therapy. Medical expenses have caused a devastating financial impact for Junior and his wife Bonnie. Like most self-employed musicians, they have limited resources, and insurance does not cover everything.
There will be raffles, a 50/50 drawing and auction items. With a portion of proceeds going toward the fundraiser, a cash bar will feature cocktails by Beach Time Distilling, craft beer by Dog Pirate Beer Co., and wines by Nassau Valley Vineyards.
Tickets are sold out for the VIP cocktail reception at noon, and for general admission at 1 p.m. Standing room only tickets for 2 p.m. entry are still available.
