Lincoln man faces murder charge
The wife of a Lincoln man charged with her shooting died Sept. 9 from her gunshot wounds.
Nicholas Mosley, 52, went to his wife’s home a day earlier in the 23000 block of Deep creek Drive in Lincoln and shot his wife Denise Mosely, 43, leaving her in critical condition, police said.
Mosley also shot his stepson, 20, who was admitted to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. Three more family members were at the home during the shooting, police said, but they were physically unharmed.
Shortly after the shooting, police said, Mosley turned himself in at Troop 7. Police said Mosley is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing a firearm. He was charged with first-degree attempted murder, felony first-degree assault, aggravated menacing, three counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by one previously convicted of a violent felony, and endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said updated charges are pending.
After his Sept. 8 arrest, Mosely was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3, and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $1,101,000 cash bond.
