December 25, 2024
Georgetown teen Máximo César Castellanos, the author of 11 books in Spanish and English, recently attended the Guadalajara International Book Fair in Mexico.

With an invitation from Empowering Latino Futures, Maximo was promoting his Dr. Pren series. The fifth and newest book of the series is titled “Dr. Pren y el Guerrero del Otro Mundo” in Spanish and “Dr. Pren and the Warrior From the Other World” in English.

Founded 38 years ago by the University of Guadalajara, this event has become the premier Spanish-language gathering for authors and publishers in Latin America. Over the course of nine days, more than 900,000 attendees visited the fair to engage with favorite authors.

Writers participated in book readings, sales, panel discussions, media interviews and networking with publishers.

In celebration of the country of Spain, the festival brought the city of Guadalajara alive with vibrant music, art cinema and theater.
