Pelvic floor therapy specialist to lead free workshop Nov. 9
HealTree will present a Pelvic Peace Workshop from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1632 Savannah Road, Suite 10, Lewes.
Guiding the session will be Logan Shuttleworth, OTR/L. A Lewes native, Shuttleworth is a licensed occupational therapist, pelvic floor therapy specialist and mom of a vibrant 4-year-old.
Pelvic floor dysfunction such as urinary leakage, constipation and pain with intimacy can often be caused by high tone in the pelvic floor muscles. Stress can caused increased muscle tension, and the pelvic floor muscles are no exception.
Participants will explore the basics of pelvic health and learn how to use nervous system regulation to improve whole-body health and well-being.
Through her Triumph Pelvic Health practice, Shuttleworth is dedicated to providing holistic, client-centered treatment options for bladder leakage, constipation, pain with intercourse, prolapse and more.
The workshop is free to attend and space is limited. To sign up, go to healtree.co/group-events.
