Danielle and Tyler Brusso strolled down the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk on a beautiful Sunday afternoon walking Sky, their dog dressed as a sundae.
They were among the more than 200 entries in the Sea Witch costumed dog parade Oct. 27. The dogs came in all sizes, the costumes in all colors.
The Fabian family brought their five dogs from Pennsylvania to join in their Monkeys on a Bed theme.
Erica Caldwell of Lewes had her tiny dog, Jesse James, dressed as an astronaut.
People also came decked out in their Halloween finest.
The Rehoboth-Dewey Chamber of Commerce handed out prizes for the best dog costumes.
The winners include: Bella, Lyra, and Bonnie Zebra and friends; Gimli Aliens; Gidget Mushroom House and Cat Witch; Juicy Barkthoven; Sandie Lou and Daisy Beach Party; Kova Candyland; Jesse James Sharks in Space; Finnigan Wicked Witch and Flying Monkey; Mini, Rocco, Cita, Jaz, Cheilie, Beau and Bandit Golden Bachelorette; Lewes, Dewey, Lune, Ellie and Samson Monkeys on the Bed; Zoe and Roxie The Cultured Pearl (sushi); Millie Canine, cop pulling two prisoners from jail; and Harrison Ford Fisherman and Fish.
The chamber is still looking for some prize winners that were not at the awards ceremony. Go to beach-fun.com to check the list.
