VIA Project GREAT welcomes new local teachers
At a time when teacher shortages are on the rise, Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach members realize the importance of acknowledging local educators.
Now in its second year, VIA’s Project GREAT, gratefully recognizing enthusiastic, awe-inspiring teachers, provides encouragement and support to teachers new to Cape Henlopen district schools in the greater Rehoboth Beach area. Generous donations of supplies and gift cards were made by VIA members. Volunteers assembled goodie bags, and deliveries were made to 51 new staff members at Rehoboth Elementary, Love Creek Elementary, Beacon Middle and Cape High schools.
One teacher said tokens of appreciation like this bring smiles to faces and make recipients feel special.
The Village Improvement Association of Rehoboth Beach is a women’s civic and charitable organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
