Retro vehicles on the road to celebrate state police’s centennial

Delaware State Police vehicles are sporting some retro looks these days in honor of the organization’s centennial anniversary.

Six vehicles will have unique graphic designs, each representing a decade of service from the state police’s beginning in the 1930s on through the 1980s. Other vehicles have a centennial logo in celebration of the organization’s 100th anniversary. 

While these vehicles may harken back to decades of the past, officials remind residents that the vehicles are equipped with all of the modern-day equipment needed to effectively uphold the laws of the First State and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents and visitors.
