The Cape Henlopen school board recognized H.O Brittingham employee Justin Cureton at its monthly meeting Oct. 26.
School board member Bill Collick said that Cureton began his career as a service aide at H.O.B. before becoming a paraeducator working in a specialized setting. He then transitioned to providing instructional support to third-graders.
He now works as a paraeducator within the fourth and fifth grades, Collick said, and coaches students in the Girls on the Run and Let Me Run programs. Cureton is currently completing work toward his teaching degree at Wilmington University, Collick said.
