Stockley Tavern event raises $114,000 for breast cancer services

November 6, 2024

Stockley Tavern’s 2024 Bags, Booze, and Boobs fundraiser netted a total of $114,000 for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. The event included a cornhole tournament, guest bartender competition, auctions and more.

Sussex County resident Connie Holdridge, who serves as DBCC director of survivorship and education, said, “This event brings out the best in people. They have fun and raise awareness about breast cancer, and raise funds for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. The team that works so hard to produce this event is so special, and I can’t express how much their efforts mean to me personally and to all our survivors.”

Organizers said overall, the event united great people for a worthy cause, and they rallied together to make a major impact in the fight against breast cancer in Delaware and the region. Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition representatives expressed gratitude for Stockley Tavern and everyone who makes this event happen year after year.

Francesca Vogel, Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition CEO, said, “There’s truly no limit to what can be accomplished when passion unites with purpose! We’re very blessed to be part of this partnership with Stockley Tavern. Along with their team, Ken and Tracy Adams bring their passion and dedication for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition’s mission, and we’re so very grateful for their commitment. This extraordinary event was also supported by so many local businesses and community members who came out to help our cause, and we greatly appreciate you all in helping DBCC to continue our public health service programs in Delaware.”

Partnerships like these make it possible for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition to continue providing vital breast cancer awareness, education, screening and support services throughout the Delaware region.
