Sussex Family YMCA offers food distribution programs

The Sussex Family YMCA has partnered with the Food Bank of Delaware to offer two food distribution programs for families in need.

A kids’ backpack program will provide weekend meals of nonperishable items to needy children from 8 to 10 a.m., each Friday in April and May. Boxes of nonperishable food will be offered to families in need from 9 a.m. to noon, Tuesdays, May 5 and 19.

Backpacks and food boxes are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last; no registration is required. The Sussex Family YMCA is at 20080 Church St., Rehoboth Beach. For information about either program, call 302-296-9622 and leave a message for a return call.
