Through a collaboration with Contractors for a Cause, Sussex Tech carpentry students recently built horse-mounting stairs for Sonshine Equine Horsemanship Therapeutic Riding Center in Millsboro. In the spring, Paul Sciannella, CFAC volunteer, contacted Ed Stough, Sussex Tech carpentry instructor, with a request for the project.
The building materials, delivered directly to the school, were purchased through the CFAC general fund. The stairs were completed and delivered to the riding center in October.
Sonshine Equine Horsemanship Therapeutic Riding Center works to facilitate the healing of body, mind and soul through professionally designed, structured equine activities.
