Taking exception to tent city letter

November 22, 2024

Regarding the letter titled "Consider a permanent homeless village at former Troop 7," published Nov. 19, I note that the author of the letter lives in Rehoboth Beach. It's so easy for her to opine. I respectfully suggest that the tiny houses she proposes to be erected – 4.5 miles from her home – instead be built adjacent to her home. Now that would be a win-win both for the community at large and those needing housing services.

I look forward with breathless anticipation to her next letter to the Cape Gazette on this subject and invite her to participate in an open debate on a topic so near and dear to her heart.
