William John Fellows Jr., enjoyed fishing

William “Bill” John Fellows Jr., 87, passed away peacefully at home in Georgetown Sunday, March 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born April 19, 1937, to his parents, William John and Edna (Collins) Fellows Sr., in Philadelphia, Pa.

He was a driver for the Philadelphia Inquirer for 45 years. Bill enjoyed making pictures from wood for his sick or deceased friends’ families. He served as a past governor and member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 646 in Lewes. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a charter boat captain, and had a love for horses.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Kathleen J. Fellows; and stepson, John Gallagher.

Bill survived by his children, Kate Fellows, Patricia Martin, Karen, Craig, William “Billy” Fellows III, Marie Pipitone (Michael) and Danielle Morris (Sean), and their mother the late Marie (Houseman) Fellows; stepchildren, Patricia Spath, James Spath (Tracey), Kaseie Walker (John) and Richard Gallagher; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, March 15, at Short Funeral Services chapel, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. A time of visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
