Last weekend a great turnout showed up for the 48th Annual Citizens Bank Caesar Rodney Half Marathon in Wilmington with a whole host of locals making the trip north. Jared Tootell, by way of Hoboken, N.J., and Lewes, ran a great race, placing fifth in 1:16:11 to finish second in the 30-34 age group. Other finishers and times include John Turssline, Ocean View, 1:26:51; Brian Frable, Ocean View, 1:31:49; Lou Sparco, Millsboro, 1:38:50; Morgan Ridings, Lewes, 1:51:32; William Crotty, Lewes, 1:53:49; Jennifer Kaufman, Lewes, 1:55:34; Doug Tootell, Lewes, 2:03:51; Corryn Barnes, Lincoln, 2:08:05; Melissa O’Neill, Rehoboth, 2:09:17; Mary Harmon, Dagsboro, 2:10:37; Cynthia Spencer, Millsboro, 2:16:06; Lisa Wynn, Frankford, 2:17:52; Betsy Tootell, Lewes, 2:23:07; Len Leshem, Lewes, 2:47:17. With no city search engine, I went through all the 1,300 names looking for hometowns in the Cape Region. If I missed a name, email tim@seashorestrider.com. The race benefited Delaware’s American Lung Association.
