Knights of Columbus donates to Indian River Eagle Company

The Bishop Burke Council 11285 of the Knights of Columbus in Millsboro recently made a $1,000 donation to the Indian River Eagle Company in Georgetown. The IREC is a division of the Howard T. Ennis School in Georgetown that works with young adults with intellectual disabilities. Students usually range in age from 18 to 21 and are trained to work in local companies where their talents are needed and put to good use.
Grand Knight Robert Oliver said the Knights have been making donations to the Eagle Company for many years, and all the Knights in the council feel the money has been put to very good use. "We congratulate the Eagle Company for their fine work," he said.
