Mt. Calvary AME Church in Concord held its Women’s History Month event March 17. Music and scripture were featured along with the honoring of five Visionary Women from Delaware.

Pianist Lisa Powell and Danny Hopkins performed several times during the ceremony.
Sister Francene Joseph reads from Proverbs 31, in which Lemuel's mother advises him about how a virtuous king should reign, as well as detailing the attributes of a virtuous wife or ideal woman.
Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester speaks to the audience about “What I Know for sure.” Blunt Rochester said, “Know yourself,” “Know your stuff,” “Know your limits,” and “Know your fears.” She finished the address with ”Know love.”
