Members of the community are invited to attend open house meetings regarding Carl M. Freeman Company’s proposed project, Cool Spring Crossing, which would be located on the Route 9 corridor outside Milton town limits.
Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a hearing at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, in Sussex County Council Chambers, 2 The Circle, Georgetown. Open house events are scheduled to provide details on the project and offer citizens the opportunity to ask questions or voice concerns.
The Milton Chamber of Commerce works hard to inform and advocate for the community, and has reached out to Carl Freeman Companies to help organize the Milton event.
An in-person Milton open house session will be held from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Milton Public Library, 121 Union St., Milton. Attendees will get a preview of the proposed Cool Spring Crossing project with detailed renderings and site plans. The project team will be available to answer any questions.
Another in-person session is set for 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, at CHEER Community Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown, also offering details on site plans and renderings for the proposed Cool Spring Crossing project, and the opportunity to get answers to questions from the project team.
A virtual information session will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22. All are welcome to join via Zoom for a review of the Cool Spring Crossing rezoning application, highlighting changes from the initial submission and discussing the proposed master planned community. Virtual attendees will have the ability to submit questions regarding the updated plan and the rezoning process.
Anyone who wants to reserve a spot at one of these meetings should RSVP to Laurie Matthews at Laurie@LMMarketingDC.com, indicating which meeting they plan to attend. Upon receipt of the email, Matthews will provide further details for the open house and a Zoom link prior to the virtual informational meeting.
