‘Mary Poppins Jr.’ to open at Sussex Academy March 8

Sussex Academy middle school cast members will perform “Mary Poppins Jr.” at 7 p.m., Friday, March 8, and 2 and 7 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at 21150 Airport Road, Georgetown.

Mary Poppins Jr., is an abridged musical based on the award-winning Broadway production. High school students directing this performance are Erin Morgan, music and co-director; Finn Sheridan, scene work and co-director; Brianna Wittman, choreography director; and Lizzie Plambeck, behind-the-scenes director.

Spring musical cast members are: Lila Carlisle as Mary Poppins; John Roman Nehrbas as Bert; Eliza Messick as George Banks; Liv Nehrbas as Winifred Banks; Claire Denham as Jane Banks; Wyatt Stout as Michael Banks, Lilly Keller as Mrs. Brill; Adam Solovey as Robertson Ay; Maddie Mitchell as Katie Nanna; Piper Carlisle as Bird Woman and Mrs. Corry; Lillie Bradley as Miss Andrew; Mary Sanchez as Neleus; Sean McCole as Chairman; Lucy Clark as Mr. Northbrook; Cory Trench as Von Hussler; Kendall Rhodes as Miss Smythe; Alex Mavity as Policeman; and Olivia Lauser as Messenger.

Ensemble performers are Sage McMahon, Caroline Mitchell and Issy Abrams. Dancers are Quinn Walls, Hailey Hudson, Cali Dondarski and Lor Marsch.
