Luxury travel and art items up for bid at SunFestival Aug. 31

August 23, 2024

CAMP Rehoboth’s Labor Day weekend SunFestival will feature a live auction including various items to suit practically any bucket list.

Highlights include a trip for two to Paris at a luxury hotel, a Prague and Danube River cruise, and a week-long stay at an all-gay luxury resort in Puerto Vallarta. Presenting sponsor Accent on Travel donated a cruise for two on Avalon Waterways to the destination of the winning bidder’s choice.

Auctioneer Lorne Crawford will present the items for bid Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, immediately preceding the headliner performance by comedian Joe Dombrowski. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The auction provides a rare opportunity to bid on an original work by artist and CAMP Rehoboth co-founder Murray Archibald. With a working title of “Set Love Free,” the 36-by-26-inch museum profile canvas will  be unveiled closer to the event, and is sure to make a bold and beautiful statement wherever it is hung. Archibald’s work is in collections at various venues, including the Biggs Museum of American Art. Archibald himself donated the work for the SunFestival auction.
