Surf Bagel to open Middletown location

Surf Bagel recently announced it will be opening a location in Middletown.

The first Surf Bagel location in New Castle County will be in the Dove Run Center on East Main Street across from Middletown High School.

“We are stoked to bring Surf Bagel to Middletown,” said Matt Patton, Surf Bagel president. “The community is full of awesome schools, businesses and lots of people who want the best bagels around. We can’t wait to become a part of it.”

While the area is new for Surf Bagel, many Middletown and New Castle County residents are familiar with Surf Bagel as a staple of the Delaware beaches. The Surf Bagel team is excited to bring what has previously been a beach treat closer to their homes – and introduce the beloved brand to people who haven’t had the chance to visit.

The Middletown location will include everything that has made the five current locations a favorite of the communities they serve: handmade New York-style bagels baked fresh on-site every day, locally roasted coffee, smoothies, wraps, salads, iconic merch, friendly service and laid-back beach vibes.

Surf Bagel Middletown is expected to open in spring 2025.
