Beebe welcomes board-certified urologist Christopher Caputo
Beebe Healthcare recently announced board-certified urologist Christopher Caputo, MD, has joined its medical staff at Beebe Urology in Lewes.
Employed by Beebe Medical Group, Caputo provides comprehensive care for both men and women who are diagnosed with a wide range of complex urologic issues.
Some of the most common conditions Caputo treats include benign prostatic hyperplasia, stone disease, urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction and urologic cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular. Patients who require surgery benefit from his training in robotic and minimally invasive approaches to surgical care. These techniques typically streamline the surgical process of care, minimize the patient’s risk for complications, and allow for a quicker and more efficient recovery.
“I am excited to be part of Beebe, and to have an opportunity to serve the community with my skills as a robotic and minimally invasive surgeon,” said Caputo. “I am thrilled to be here.”
Prior to joining Beebe, Caputo worked at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Harrisburg, Pa., where he served as an attending urologist. He earned his medical degree at the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and remained there to complete his internship in general surgery. Caputo completed residency training with a focus on urology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, also in Philadelphia. In the midst of his clinical training pursuits, he contributed to research projects, which led to industry presentation and publication opportunities.
Outside of work, Caputo enjoys spending quality time with his wife Danielle and their two children. He also enjoys playing guitar, bicycling and skiing, and has a special interest in blockchain technology.
