Elks present $2,500 to Cancer Support Community

Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 recently held a fundraising dinner to benefit Cancer Support Community Delaware.
Guest speaker Kate Antisavage, Southern Delaware program manager, was accompanied by her colleague Alyssa Megee, Southern Delaware development associate.
This statewide nonprofit provides a variety of emotional and social support programs at no cost for cancer patients and caregivers.
Ticket sales netted $1,125, and the Elks board rounded up the figure to present a $2,500 donation. Elks members and guests also made individual contributions, including one raffle winner who donated all winnings of $240.
