“This classic musical has been expertly adapted for teen performers and is a delight,” said David Warick, Take Two Drama Club advisor and teacher.
“Chicago: Teen Edition” is a sassy, brassy musical based on a true murder case of the Roaring ‘20s. It follows the story of Roxie Hart, charged with the murder of her boyfriend, and the collection of colorful characters involved in her trial of the century. The play is also a satire on the beginnings of social media and cancel culture at the start of the 21st century. “Chicago: Teen Edition” is for a mature audience, teenage years and older.
The Take Two Drama Club is an independent nonprofit club and drama boosters organization that supports production of plays and musicals for Sussex Central High School students and surrounding communities. All ticket proceeds support production of future shows and assist Sussex Central students studying and creating theater. To make a donation to Take Two, contact Warick at david.warick@irsd.k12.de.us.
Concessions and drinks will be available for purchase at the show.
