Amore jewelry exhibition reception set Feb. 14

Heidi Lowe invites the public to attend a reception from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14, and view a new exhibition called Amore, curated by Kassadi Williams at Heidi Lowe Gallery, 119 Front St., Lewes.

“In this moment of divide, this exhibition will focus on what brings people together: love. Ten female artists were each given a real love letter from history and were asked to take inspiration from the written words without limitations,” said Lowe.

This collection explores the different aspects of love in romantic relationships. The artists and viewers alike are invited to delve into how they feel about love as outsiders looking in and as participants themselves. Are they in awe of it? Has it burned them? Is it a constant companion or a toxic crutch? Love is different for everyone it touches.

“The Amore exhibition asked the artists to connect with the love between two people and visually interpret the feelings within the letter. It’s intimate and voyeuristic,” said Lowe.

“Amore is an encompassing investigation into love,” said Williams.
