Ocean City man arrested for third DUI in Rehoboth

An Ocean City, Md. man was arrested in Rehoboth Beach March 26, after police determined he was driving while intoxicated. He was also found to be in possession of cocaine. 

Rehoboth Beach police said Joseph Muztafago, 38, was driving a Ford F-150 pickup in the area of Rehoboth Avenue and Second Street when he was stopped by police for a registration violation. Upon investigation, police determined that Muztafago was driving under the influence. Police say they also found cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. 

Muztafago had two previous DUI convictions, making a third offense a felony. In all, Muztafago was charged with third-offense DUI and misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired temporary registration, failure to destroy an expired or invalid temporary tag and failure to have a driver’s license in possession. 

Muztafago was released on his own recognizance and will be arraigned at a later date.
