Bayhealth residency graduate joins Primary Care Milford
When Bayhealth first embarked on its journey to become a teaching hospital, leaders set out to attract new doctors to the area. Now that the first residency classes have graduated, numerous new physicians have chosen to continue their medical careers in Delaware to care for the community.
Paulina McCabe, DO, a Bayhealth Family Medicine Residency graduate, is the newest physician with Bayhealth Primary Care Milford. She joins fellow family medicine physician Lauren Parmer, DO; internal medicine physician Jonathan Simon, MD; and family nurse practitioner Erika Porter, FNP-BC, in the practice.
The Bayhealth Primary Care Milford practice is part of Bayhealth Medical Group, a partnership of highly trained physicians and advanced practice clinicians, their staff and an administrative support team that operates medical offices throughout Delaware.
“Dr. McCabe was a standout resident physician here at Bayhealth and in our community, and we’re thrilled that she’s now a permanent addition to our team,” said Lawrence Ward, MD, MPH, FACP, Bayhealth vice president, physician services and clinical integration. “Her personable manner and dedication to helping people live healthier lives will be an asset to our local communities.”
McCabe has a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where she was active in outreach initiatives such as the PCOM Student-Run Clinic and PCOM Health Support Program that provided health services to under-resourced groups. During her medical school rotation at Bayhealth, she was awarded the Undergraduate Medical Education Most Exceptional Student Award in 2020. She also received the award for Outstanding Service as Class Representative 2021-22 during her Bayhealth residency.
McCabe sees patients of all ages at the Bayhealth Primary Care Milford practice located at 1012 Mattlind Way in Milford. For more information, go to Bayhealth.org/Medical-Group or call 302-424-0600.
