Members of grassroots groups 50501 and Indivisible Southern Delaware gathered in Rehoboth Beach April 19, to stage the latest in a series of Hands Off protests.
Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer spoke to the crowd at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. “I want Delawareans to know that they’re protected,” said Meyer. “A lot of people watch TV, they hear the news, they see postings on social media and they get scared, and I understand that, but I want them to know that we are here, that we will protect you, and that you deserve the fruits of America just as I do.”
