Beverly Martine Dempsey, loving wife, mother

Beverly Martine Dempsey, 87, of Viola, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 29, 2025. Beverly was born in Brandywine Hundred April 4, 1937, to the late Larkin and Mary Martine. She was a loving, caring, giving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Beverly loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved spending time traveling and celebrating at parties with her family and friends.

Beverly is survived by her loving, caring husband of 39 years, Phillip; and five children, Cathy Stratton (Jerry), Connie Furniss (Dale), Walter Morris (Meredith), David Morris (Bobbie) and Kelly White (Jeff). Beverly also leaves behind her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly; one sister, Janet Kosinski; and two stepchildren, Anthony Dempsey and Julie Oulton, and their families. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters and three brothers-in-law, Connie O’Neal (Gene), Debby Morris (Eddie) and Stan Kosinski.

Family and friends are invited for visitation from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 4, at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark. An additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 5, at Ebeneezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Road, Newark. A Celebration of Beverly‘s Life will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be immediately after the service in Ebeneezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.
