Students in the Sussex Consortium vocational program are set to benefit from a $4,000 grant bestowed by Buffalo Wild Wings outside Rehoboth Beach July 12.
The vocational program assists students with disabilities become self-sufficient employees. Students work at local businesses and organizations, where they learn skills needed to transition to the workplace.
Buffalo Wild Wings has partnered with Sussex Consortium students since the restaurant opened in 2012, said General Manager Brittany Walker.
“They brighten our day with their passion,” Walker said. “It’s awesome to be able to work with them as they learn new job skills. They do a great job too.”
Sussex Consortium Vocational Coordinator Pam Graves said funds will go toward uniforms, supplies and special activities for students in the program.
