Cape Class of ’74 holds 50th reunion at LYC

January 4, 2025

The Cape Henlopen Class of 1974 recently held its 50th class reunion at Lewes Yacht Club.

It was a great night of reacquainting and sharing memories. Wonderful fellowship was had by all. The Class of ’74’s graduation party was also held at Lewes Yacht Club.

Forty-eight former Vikings and their guests attended the happy event. The farthest traveled classmate came from Texas. The closest traveled was from Highland Acres in Lewes.

Items were auctioned off to help replenish the class funds used for the reunion. Items included tickets to this year's Homecoming game at the University of Delaware donated by classmate Dick Bryan, beautiful earrings designed and crafted by classmate Lois Gibbs McManus, a book titled "Dead Ends" written by classmate Celia Bassols and a DMV specialty license Cape Henlopen High School tag "CH74" donated by classmate Keith Misener. Other great items were acquired and donated to the auction.

Special thanks go out to the planning committee for their part in making the evening a huge success.
