Taking advantage of a no-student day, district officials held a job fair at Cape Henlopen High School March 15 to recruit local candidates.
Each department presented information on open positions, such as bus drivers and monitors, custodians, teachers and paraeducators, secretaries, school psychologists, Spanish immersion teachers, speech language pathologists, substitutes for all positions, and summer school jobs. Candidates could apply for desired positions on the spot.
More than 50 candidates registered in advance for the job fair, which also had a number of walk-ins, said Supervisor of Human Resources Ned Gladfelter, who also noted the district has the most success with its own in-house job fairs.
