Children’s Beach House gala plans in progress for Feb. 8

Children’s Beach House will hold its inaugural gala Saturday, Feb. 8, at Lighthouse Cove Event Center in Dewey Beach.

Event co-chairs are Staci Hammonds and Erica Tull, both of Rehoboth Beach. Both bring several years of experience organizing fun and successful events that benefit Delaware charities.

Guests will enjoy cocktail hour, live and silent auctions, plated dinner, open bar and live entertainment by Kristen and the Noise. 

Proceeds will go toward new and expanded CBH services, particularly the after-school and summer programs at Milton and H.O. Brittingham elementary schools.

Richard Garrett, CBH executive director, said, “These new after-school programs fit perfectly within the CBH mission, which is all about giving kids safe and supportive community where they can find their strengths and their place in the world.” 

With a focus on serving children who live with speech and language delays and disabilities, Children’s Beach House programming currently touches over 800 children, teens and family members from under-resourced communities across the state.
