Coastal Concerts to host Curtis on Tour Erinys Quartet Nov. 9

Coastal Concerts will present Curtis on Tour, featuring Erinys Quartet with violist Roberto Diaz and cellist Peter Wiley, at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, at Bethel United Methodist Church Hall, Fourth and Market streets, Lewes. 

Lani Spahr will present Performance Insights at 1 p.m., preceding the show.

Since fall 2023, the Erinys Quartet has been the Nina von Maltzahn String Quartet in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music.

Erinys is named for the Erinyes, or Furies, from the Greek tragedy “Oresteia” by Aeschylus. The quartet includes American violinist Elizabeth Stewart, Estonian violinist Joosep Reimaa, Finish-Lithuanian violinist and violist Marija Räisänen and Greek cellist Stergios Theodoridis.

The quartet will be joined in concert by Díaz, president and CEO of the Curtis Institute of Music, and Wiley, a 1974 Curtis Institute of Music graduate.
