Delaware Botanic Gardens will hold its annual public meeting at 12 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 7, via Zoom.
”We had an excellent 2021 season, and at the annual meeting you will hear reports from our management team, including president and executive director’s updates, financial report, volunteer update, horticulture update, and the public outreach communications report. We want to thank DBG members, supporters, and guests as we end the year on a high note by planting 84,000 new spring bulbs in the Piet Oudolf Meadow, which will be in full bloom in March-April 2022 when we reopen,” said Ray Sander, DBG president.
Seats are limited and registration is due by Friday, Nov. 26. To register, go to delawaregardens.org.
“We thank all the staff and volunteers who have worked so hard to maintain and expand DBG this year. I also suggest that you give a holiday gift DBG membership or gift pass to a friend or loved one by going to delawaregardens.org/holiday-ideas. We also need new benches for the West Woodland trail. To order a bench, go to delawaregardens.org/bench-orders,” said Sheryl Swed, DBG executive director. “We thank all who have visited and supported the gardens this year. We look forward to seeing you at the virtual annual meeting and at the gardens next spring.”
