Delmarva Christian High School holds career day

March 29, 2023

Delmarva Christian High School hosted a career day March 17, giving students the opportunity to meet more than 30 professionals from different career fields.

Career opportunities presented included public service, nonprofit work, business, freelance work, ministry, healthcare and communications.

Counselor Terri Smith surveyed students to decide which career choices best fit their interests. She then contacted and scheduled speakers who matched those professions based on their careers and walk of faith.

Keynote speaker was former Delmarva Christian teacher Mike Hague, who now serves as industrial training coordinator at Sussex Tech’s Adult Education program. Hague shared with the students how God has led his career path and how students can follow their calling into the skilled trades through apprenticeships, which he called the other four-year degree.

Delmarva Christian Schools provides excellent Christian education to students throughout the region.  Its mission is to proclaim the gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically and physically to know and do God's will in their lives.
