Delmarva Christian High School hosts 20th annual Royal Ball

May 30, 2024

Delmarva Christian High School held its annual Royal Ball April 27 at Heritage Shores in Bridgeville.

A cherished tradition, the event brought together young ladies and gentlemen adorned in elegant gowns and dashing suits for an evening of grace, charm and Christian fellowship.

The evening began with the grand march and a processional dance known as the senior waltz, where pairings gracefully dance through intricate lines, loops and spirals, to the delight of parents, grandparents and friends.

Beyond the dances, the Royal Ball also serves as a platform for imparting essential life skills. Leading up to the event, students undergo dance instruction and receive etiquette training, fostering an environment where respect, honor and edification are paramount.

"It has long been the vision of the school to provide opportunities for our students to practice 1 Thessalonians 5:11. And so, our students undergo instruction aimed at cultivating graceful social interactions, fostering confidence and honing crucial interpersonal skills," said Matt Kwiatkowski, DCS head of school. "It's a culture of mutual support, where positive social interactions serve as the foundation for uplifting one another and honoring Jesus with their relationships and celebrations."

The Royal Ball not only exemplifies Delmarva Christian’s commitment to excellence but also underscores its dedication to nurturing well-rounded individuals equipped with the skills and values needed to succeed in all facets of life.

The mission of Delmarva Christian Schools is to proclaim the gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives. For more information, go to delmarvachristian.org.
