Delmarva Christian celebrated its 19th graduating class May 26 with 41 seniors receiving diplomas. The event was held in the Delmarva Christian Arts & Athletic Center in Georgetown.
Graduation featured a musical performance by members of Royals Worship, remarks from Student Leadership Council President Ayla Basar, Salutatorian Keelie Conaway, Valedictorian Jordan Paoli, Head of School Matt Kwiatkowski, and a special message from Diane Camper, Delmarva Christian preschool teacher.
The Royal Service Award, which included a plaque and $500 scholarship was presented to Andrew Daisey. The award recognizes the student who has most consistently demonstrated a positive Christian witness and has exceeded all community-service requirements. The staff chooses each annual recipient.
The Royal of the Year Award and accompanying $500 scholarship was presented to Richard Bryant. The award is given to the graduating senior who best exemplifies the mission of Delmarva Christian Schools, to proclaim the gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives.
