Delmarva Christian School recently celebrated 20 years of Christ-centered education, hosting its anniversary banquet for more than 400 guests at Delmarva Christian High School.
The evening offered meaningful reflection on the school’s mission and past achievements along with a visionary look ahead, highlighting the success of the Stronger Together Campaign and future one-campus building project.
Guests were treated to a moving worship performance by a choir consisting of Delmarva Christian alumni and current students. Alumni performers led by Layne Morris (Class of 2019) included Amaya Wright (’19), Micah Magee (‘16), Aaron Webster (‘21), Lewis Gebhart (‘07), Lily Fetterman (‘23), Rob Van Pelt (‘12), Bryant Hazzard (‘07), Andrew Hazzard (‘11), and Jeremy Ross (‘06), who united in a testament to the lasting bonds formed at Delmarva Christian.
The banquet also featured a Portrait of a Graduate panel, where Delmarva Christian Head of School Matt Kwiatkowski led a lively discussion with accomplished alumni. Panelists included Olive Tempest (‘17), Shawn McCullough (‘16), Alex Hazzard (‘05), Andrew Hazzard (‘11), Caleb McFarlin (‘18), and Megan Bowlin (‘13). Sharing stories of growth, faith and professional achievements, the panelists exemplified the positive influence of a Delmarva Christian education.
“This celebration of 20 years would not have been possible without the dedication of our community, who have come together to honor God’s faithfulness and pave the way for an exciting future. We are truly blessed to witness such incredible generosity and unity as we move forward,” said Kwiatkowski.
The Stronger Together Campaign, designed to unify Delmarva Christian School students from elementary to high school on a single campus, has received significant community backing, bringing the school’s dream closer to fruition. With this milestone achieved, Delmarva Christian is prepared to step boldly into the next phase of its mission.
“It was an absolute honor to look back and celebrate 20 years of God's faithfulness at Delmarva Christian School, and to witness firsthand the miracles that have shaped our journey,” said Justin Savini, director of advancement. “This event was not just a reflection on our past but a powerful glimpse into the future as we announced to over 400 guests the incredible progress of our Stronger Together Campaign. In just 27 months, God has moved hearts to provide more than $27.5 million in support for our upcoming one-campus building project. We are in awe of his provision and deeply grateful for the unwavering support of our community as we continue to advance the mission of Delmarva Christian School. God is truly at work here.”
