Eagles are confusing

October 25, 2024

On Sunday, the Eagles crushed the Giants by a score of 28-3. The defense played very well, sacking Giants quarterback Daniel Jones eight times. The Giants offensive line was terrible, which definitely helped the Eagles on offense. The Eagles ran the ball down the field at will. Saquon Barkley had a great game against his former team, running for 170-plus yards, which is actually the second-most yards in NFL history for a player against his former team. The Eagles only had to pass the ball 14 times. When AJ Brown is healthy and happy, he is amazing to watch.

The Eagles next game is against the Cincinnati Bengals who only have a 3-4 record, but they are a very good offensive team. So the Eagles are going to have to play a good game to extend their winning streak to three games.

The World Series starts on Friday between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers. It should be a long and competitive series with some high-scoring games, which is not very typical in the World Series. I say that because these two offenses are stacked with at least three Hall of Famers in the batting orders. The Yankees have Aaron Judge, Juan Soto and John Carlos Stanton. The Dodgers have the amazing Shohei Otani, who has had an MVP year, and they also have Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman. Aaron Judge and Stanton are built more like football players at 6-5 and 6-7, respectively, and Juan Soto is a modern hitting version of Ken Griffey Jr.

I am picking the Yankees to win the series because they have more consistent starting pitching, but this is definitely a tossup series. This is the first time since 1981 that the Yankees and the Dodgers have faced off in the World Series! I have to admit that this should be some great baseball to watch even with the Phillies not being there.
