Edward D. Carlson, active in church, community
Edward D. Carlson passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2025. Ed was born in the Philadelphia area April 12, 1937.
He spent many years in the HVAC industry before retiring in 2000 and moving to Millsboro soon after. During his retirement years, Ed kept busy traveling, boating, and doing volunteer work in the Millsboro area.
He was predeceased by his son, Edward Carlson; and siblings, Karen Carlson, Maryann Owezarzak and David Carlson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia Martini Carlson; his siblings, Helen Glavey and Carl Carlson; sons Robert (Su) Carlson, James Carlson and John (Marie) Carlson; daughters, Patricia Pone, Carol (Ralph) Faunce and Mary (Steve) Sheats; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 19, at Mary Mother of Peace Church, 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, followed by a Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Burial will be private.
