Frances Lee Magee, faithful church member
Frances Lee Magee, 91, of Lewes, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 11, 2024.
Frances was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Smyrna, daughter of the late William Staten Smith and the late Madeline (Penuel) Smith. She was a faithful and longtime member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Lewes. Frances will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Richard Odel Magee; a daughter, Adele Joanne Magee; and a son, Richard Odel Magee Jr. Frances is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Estella Braswell of Key West, Fla., and Debbie Hopkins and her husband Ed of Rehoboth Beach; 10 grandchildren, Elaine Chiasson, Eddie Braswell and his wife Rachel, Phillip Rose, Shauna Magee, Richie Magee, Megan Magee, Katie Howard and her husband Dustin, Edward Hopkins IV and his wife Jennifer, Andrew Hopkins and his wife Jessica, and Stephanie Brown and her husband Tyler; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Frances’ name to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 21265 John J. Williams Hwy., Lewes, DE 19958.
